'Sister Siam', we have decided this morning, is our seventh favourite song by The Whip but it is still so amazing that watching the video nearly brought on an early menopause – and that's quite something ALL THINGS CONSIDERED.
The video is quite clearly rubbish, but the sort of rubbish that makes the coming week seem a little more tolerable and also makes a trip to space in a cardboard rocket seem like a good idea for next weekend.
Here is 'Sister Siam'. It reminds us a bit of Daft Punk's 'Too Long' video from their Interstella 5555 movie. There is a whiff of the home-made about it.
We would also like to take this opportunity to say that The Whip are one of the most incredible live bands we have seen all year – and we have lost count how many times we have seen them in the past 12 months. They will be releasing an album 'at some point' next year and we are already fully expecting it to be one of the best records of 2008. Here ends the gushing tribute to The Whip.
