A funny old thing...

Groove Armada have already released a 'Best Of' and a 'Greatest Hits'.

October's 'Greatest Hits' album was basically the 'Best Of' with the Mutya single stuck on the end with one of the amazing Candi Staton songs ('Love Sweet Sound') that was left to rot on the 'Soundboy Rock' album - released earlier this year and easily Groove Armada's best studio album to date.

But on top of the 'Best Of' and the 'Greatest Hits' there is also the 'GA10' CD to deal with. It is a double CD 'personally selected' by Andy Cato and Tom Findlay. One uptempo, one less so.

Oddly enough, the uptempo one sounds tired and boring - no one ever wants to hear 'I See You Baby' ever again - while the mellow collection is something quite wonderful indeed. Standout tracks include (another Candi Staton track) 'Paris', 'Hand Of Time' and the forgettably incredible 'Dusk, You & Me' from 1999's 'Vertigo' album.

So its a nod of approval for Andy Cato's selection but a poo through the letterbox for Tom Findlay. Sorry dude.
