More rock than robot

If it is good enough for Radio One, then it's good enough for us.

That's not a mantra that anyone should live by but in this instance it seems to be the case. After being made Zane Lowe's record of the week at the end of last month, Radio One have playlisted the new Pendulum single, 'Granite'.

Pendulum are a drum and bass band from Australia who almost had a hit in 2005 with their single 'Slam' depending on how you feel about the Number 34 position in the pop charts. It was noisy and largely instrumental. It was generally 'alright' but for us sums up nightclubs in provincial UK towns for us - sweaty people, cheap drugs and sticky carpets.

New single 'Granite' on the other hand is completely incredible. A noisy beast of a record mixing rock, dance, drum and bass, it rivals Hadouken!'s 'Leap Of Faith' in size, speed and sheer volume and like that single, is totally amazing.
